Henry Redpath

general

Hi,
I live in South Australia and am trying to find information on my gg-grandfather Henry Redpath. We don't have a lot of information, but know that he was born in 1846 in Scotland and immigrated to Australia between 1866 - 1872. We don't know what ship he travelled on, or if he was a convict, assisted or paying passenger. It was rumoured that he was travelling with his brother(name unknown).
He eventually settled in South Australia as a farmer and married Elizabeth Elliot of Watervale in 1873.
He was buried in September 1887 at Blyth Plains(Kybunga) South Australia.
His father's name was Samual Redpath (mother's name unknown).
We have done exhausted searches of shipping records, birth, deaths and marriages etc. but have come up with very little information prior to his entry into Australia.
Anyone with any information, please contact me at juliewilliams00@optusnet.com.au
Thanks

Hi,I now live in Melbourne

Hi,
I now live in Melbourne but was born in Edinburgh.
My Branch of the Redpath's came from Pittenweem,Fife in the 1780's.
The Majority of Redpath come from the borders and the Northumberland area of England. I have not come across the name of Henry as it is not common in Scotland. It may come from a branch that settled in England.
