Privacy Policy

Your privacy, whether you are a friend, a relative, or a member of the general public, is very important. This site has four levels of information:

1. General Public - Information available to the general public - either from other websites, the public domain or specifically released to the general public by the owners/contributors of the information. Note: Genealogy data on persons who are dead or presumed dead is considered General Public.
2. Members - Information available only to registered Redpath / Ridpath / Reidpath web site members. Since the requirements for this access are currently extremely lax, this level is not really private at all. However, none of this information is intentionally provided to any non-members.
3. Genealogy - This is data about living people that is gathered by and submitted by members with the express purpose of building a living Family Tree. There are 3 requirements to gain and maintain access to this level of data. 1) Must be a registered member, 2) Must have submitted their own genealogical data or survey to the effort proving some link to the Redpath, Ridpath, or Reidpath family names, 3) Must abide by this privacy policy by safeguarding genealogical information about living people.
4. Admin - Information available only to the adminstrator(s) of this site - Includes all registration information, information used to personalize the site, and any information provided that is not specifically released for General Public, Members, or Genealogy. None of this information is intentionally provided to anyone other than the administrators, unless legally required.
